Our commitment
y-apps, operator of StockMail (https://stockmail.digital) is committed to making this service usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability. Accessibility is treated as part of the build, not as an add-on panel bolted on top of it.
Standard and conformance level
The binding Israeli standard is IS 5568 (ת"י 5568), which adopts WCAG 2.0 Level AA. This site is built and tested against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which includes everything WCAG 2.0 Level AA requires.
We claim substantial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with the exceptions listed under "Known limitations" below. Conformance is verified by automated testing with axe-core across every page of the site, in a real browser, logged out and signed in, not by self-assessment alone.
Accessibility tools on this site
Every page carries an accessibility button in the bottom-left corner. It lets you:
- Adjust text size from 90% up to 140%.
- Turn on high contrast for stronger text and border colours.
- Stop animations, including background and decorative motion.
- Underline all links.
- Switch to a plain, highly legible sans-serif font.
Your choices are stored in your browser and re-applied before the page paints on your next visit, so there is no flash of unstyled preferences. The site also honours your operating system's "reduce motion" setting on its own: with that setting on, decorative animation does not run at all.
What has been tested
The site was audited page by page with axe-core against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rule sets, in a real browser engine, both signed out and signed in. Alongside the automated rules we measured specific criteria by hand:
- Contrast (1.4.3): every text node's computed contrast ratio, worst-first.
- Reflow (1.4.10): no horizontal scrolling at a 320px viewport.
- Resize text (1.4.4): no horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom.
- Focus visible (2.4.7): a visible focus indicator on every interactive control, inputs included.
- Pause, stop, hide (2.2.2): what still moves when the operating system asks for reduced motion.
- Target size (2.5.8, WCAG 2.2): measured centre-to-centre distance for controls under 24×24px.
- Structure: landmarks, heading order, page language, form-label association and accessible names on icon-only controls.
Known limitations
- Email briefings are rendered by third-party email clients whose accessibility behaviour we cannot control. Every briefing is sent with a plain-text alternative alongside the HTML version.
- Payment checkout is provided by PayPal, an external vendor. Its pages are outside our control and do not inherit this site's accessibility settings.
- Live market figures update while you read them. This is essential to what the service is, so the updates are not suppressed; they carry no motion or flashing.
- The busy indicator keeps a slow pulse even under reduced motion, because it is the only signal that work is in progress. All other animation stops.
